Frequently Asked Questions
You will find answers to all of your most common Solar Services related questions located here.
How much do solar panels cost?
It really depends! There are a lot of factors that need to be considered to answer this question. We don’t want to mislead anyone so we treat each person’s home as the unique situation it is. Our processes are straight-forward and honest. We evaluate your home’s potential for solar and energy needs, than provide you with an accurate quote. Many companies do this over the phone or email but this can lead to errors, as it is really necessary to see the roof and home to accurately evaluate the needs and therefore, the cost.
What are the solar panel tax credits?
As of 2009, the Federal Solar tax Credit allows buyers of solar panels to collect up to 26% of the cost of the solar system. In the past, collections capped at $2000, but now there is no cap. In order to qualify for this rebate, you will need to owe federal taxes. The rebate lowers the amount of taxes you will have to pay. If you don’t owe taxes this year, the rebate can roll over to the next year when you do owe taxes.
What is the PACE program?
The PACE program was created in order to serve the public interest. PACE stands for “Property Assessed Clean Energy” (PACE) funding and financing program, in accordance with and as authorized by Section 163.08 of Florida Statutes (the “Florida PACE Act”). The statute provides a scalable, statewide funding and financing program for energy conservation and efficiency improvements, renewable energy improvements and wind resistance improvements to real property (“Qualifying Improvements”).

Basically, PACE programs enables homeowners to install Qualifying Improvements that increase the value, functionality, and sustainability of their homes. With the PACE program your credit score does not matter. It is a great solution for people who don’t have the ability to go down to the bank and get approved for a home improvement loan. This enables you to make home improvements that make your home safer and more energy efficient. Qualifying Improvements make homes less costly to operate and more comfortable to live in, while simultaneously reducing energy consumption, safer and more sustainable. In many cases, these improvements would not otherwise be possible. It also reduces insurance premiums involving wind resistance improvements. Without PACE programs, many homeowners would have no access to Qualifying Improvements.
How do I know if my roof is right for solar?
You don’t is the honest answer! We can help you find out, though. Many companies will offer you a quote over the phone without having actually been to your house. We don’t do this because we like to get it right the first time and provide you with world-class service and expert recommendations. No one could tell the condition of your roof from a Google satellite image from last year or the amount of shade your roof has.. so we don’t ever try. We send one of our experts out, at your request, to determine your home’s potential for solar and energy needs and usage. – this way, we get it right the first time; saving you time and money is our goal, at all times.
